The customer was using an old fluid mechanism designed decades ago, but the manufacturing knowledge required to produce it had been lost. Although the design functioned, they lacked the ability to manufacture it effectively. After several months of trial and error, they were ready to abandon the project.
Megatech collaborated closely with the customer to review the manufacturing process and the design drawings. After a couple of weeks, we gained a deep understanding of the fluid mechanics and assembly requirements. This enabled us to provide a working assembly, with particular focus on achieving a matched outer diameter and bore between parts, which was critical to the project’s success.
